The Council currently offers two types of events to engage the academic community. The Academic Conference Call series provides students the opportunity to interact with a Council fellow in a forty-five minute phone conversation and is made possible in part by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Webcasts of Council meetings feature policymakers and scholars in timely discussions; students and educators watch the meeting in real time via the Internet. Once a webcast of a Council meeting has concluded, it is made available as a video in the multimedia section of For Educators or as part of an Adademic Module on a related subject.
